On August 5th, Lichinga, Niassa, hosted the 1st Provincial Islamic Youth Conference, promoted by the MASC Foundation in partnership with the Youth Office of the Islamic Council of Mozambique, Niassa Delegation. The event brought together young people, religious leaders and academics to debate topics related to peace, development and religion.

The president of the MASC Foundation, Dr. Jorge Ferrão, actively participated in the discussions, contributing to enriching the debates. During the opening ceremony, the Secretary of State, Lina Maria da Silva Portugal, emphasized the importance of youth inclusion and the fight against radicalism, highlighting the commitment to social cohesion and the improvement of Niassa. The event is aligned with the MASC Foundation’s 2020-2030 Strategic Plan, which focuses on National Unity, Democracy, Peace and Sustainable Development.
