On the 29th and 30th of July 2024, the MASC Foundation, in collaboration with the Province of Niassa and the District of Mandimba, conducted a comprehensive diagnosis in the context of the Involva-me Program, part of the Pro-Cívico Project. This initiative aims to offer an inclusive platform where all stakeholders participate in decisions and policies that impact the local community.

This analysis is essential to develop an intervention plan that responds effectively and comprehensively to the identified needs, including continuous monitoring and evaluation processes.
During the diagnosis, the following milestones were achieved:

– Assessment of Local Policies: The implementation of governance policies at local level was systematized, aligned with national policy guidelines.
– Mapping of Civil Society Organizations: The organizations involved, their areas of activity, activities carried out, positive points, constraints and challenges faced were identified.
– Analysis of Government Priorities: The priorities and actions developed by state and government entities were mapped, as well as the main results obtained and the challenges encountered.
– Coordination and Participation: Coordination mechanisms between government entities and civil society were assessed, as well as citizen participation and involvement.
– Definition of Priority Actions: The priority actions and focuses to be privileged within the scope of the Involve-me Project were identified.
