At a meeting held at the MASC Foundation offices in Niassa, representatives of the British High Commission met to discuss fundamental issues for development and cooperation between the United Kingdom and Mozambique. Present were Louise Edwards, First Secretary, Political Advisor on Security and Conflict; Owen Elliot, Research Analyst for Southern Africa; and Adriano Tuzine, Senior Officer for Prosperity and Economic Development.

The British High Commission in Mozambique is responsible for promoting development and maintaining good bilateral relations. The meeting focused on the dynamics of the northern region of Mozambique and Malawi, addressing a wide range of topics, such as politics, security, agricultural development, trade, civic spaces and electoral issues.

The meeting represents a significant step in building an ongoing dialogue between the parties, aiming for a more collaborative and sustainable future for Mozambique.
